2003

Gold Standard Award

The Deeba has become the first Indian Restaurant and Takeaway within the whole of Macclesfield to successfully achieve the prestigious Gold Standard Award. It is also the first Restaurant and Takeaway to become totally smoke free and offer healthy eating choices. The award was presented by Macclesfield Borough Council's head of Health Improvement.

Heartbeat Award

The Heartbeat Award is a nationally recognised award given to caterers who demonstrate a commitment to customer care through the provision of a healthier environment and healthier food choices. The Heartbeat Award recognises caterers who promote good health and healthy eating. Deeba was the first Indian establishment to receive this award.

From 1999 - 2002

Hygiene Award

Macclesfield Borough Council makes this Hygiene award when businesses have more cleanliness and cooking controls than is required by current legislation. For instance, the keeping of food temperature records, cleaning schedules and the use of stainless steel surfaces. Deeba also keep full HACCP (Hazzard analysis and critical control points) documentation. Visits are made on a 12 monthly basis. Deeba was the first Indian establishment to receive this award.
